Once he cures the composite resin, he will polish and shape your filling and apply any finishing touches so that it fits perfectly and completely seals your tooth, keeping out bacteria and food particles. You will be able to eat and drink right away following your appointment. 

Cosmetic Dental Bonding 

Dental bonding is an economic way to improve the appearance of your smile. In addition to being one of the most affordable cosmetic enhancements available, it is also beneficial because it allows you to maintain more of your healthy tooth structure compared to other treatments.

Cosmetic bonding can treat a wide range of minor aesthetic flaws such as chips, gaps, fractures, oddly shaped teeth, worn teeth, and discolored teeth. 

Utilizing the same composite material we use to place fillings, Dr. Pope can add to your existing tooth structure to improve your tooth’s appearance. While dental bonding is not suitable for large or complex cosmetic cases, it does provide an affordable and fast alternative for smaller treatments.

Teeth Whitening and Bonding 

It is important to note that tooth-colored composite fillings and porcelain restorations (veneers and crowns) will not whiten and stain the same way as your natural teeth. If you would like to whiten your teeth, it is a good idea to do it prior to having fillings, bonding, or porcelain restorations.
